Our Story
Milton Counseling Collaborative was founded by Lisa Morin, LICSW, a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience. After 14 years as Director of Counseling at Milton Academy and years consulting with independent schools, Lisa decided to open a private practice that felt personal and grounded while also being evidenced based.
The name "Collaborative" was chosen intentionally. I believe therapy works best when it’s built on partnership. That might mean working closely with clients, or when helpful, with families, schools, or other providers. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach for any individual.
The mission is to create a warm, honest, and attentive space where people feel safe to open up. The goal is to help clients work through what’s getting in their way so they can feel they can be the best version of themselves.

Our Approach
At Milton Counseling Collaborative, we take an evidence-based and collaborative approach to therapy. We understand that each client is unique, and we work together with our clients to create personalized approaches that are tailored to their specific needs. The most important and first step is to create an authentic connection. We recognize that the difficult work can not be done without this connection and trust. At Milton Counseling Collaborative we specialize in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and issues affecting LGBTQ individuals. Our goal is to help our clients achieve lasting change and live their best lives. If you'd like to talk more to understand the next steps, click the button below to schedule an appointment.
