About
Lisa Morin, LICSW is the founder of Milton Counseling Collaborative, a private practice offering compassionate, experienced, and affirming therapy for children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and school related stressors. With over 20 years in the field, including 14 years as the Director of Counseling at Milton Academy, Lisa blends evidence-based practices with a real, down-to-earth presence that helps clients feel both supported and understood.
Her style is collaborative and grounded in connection. She helps clients step back, take a breath, and sort through life’s challenges in a way that feels manageable, meaningful, and long lasting. She believes therapy should feel like a conversation with intention while also building insight, strengthening coping tools, and supporting meaningful, lasting growth.
Services

Counseling for children
Younger children may struggle to express big feelings through words alone. Our counseling approach includes age-appropriate tools like play, art, and storytelling to help children process emotions, build self-esteem, and learn healthy coping strategies. Evidence-based approaches help children build affect regulation skills by strengthening their ability to recognize emotional states, identify triggers, and implement adaptive coping strategies in real time.We work closely with caregivers and, when appropriate, schools to ensure a holistic, supportive plan for your child’s well-being.
Individual Counseling for Adolescents and Young Adults
The high school and college years can bring intense pressure and major transitions. Academic stress, social challenges, identity exploration, and growing independence can all contribute to emotional overwhelm. We support adolescents and young adults as they navigate these critical years with care, curiosity, and confidence.
With deep experience collaborating with schools and colleges to support students needing accommodations, medical leaves, or additional resources. We understand how to bridge the gap between clinical care and academic systems, helping families advocate for what their student needs.
We offer flexible scheduling to meet the demands of busy student lives, with both in-person and telehealth options based on the student’s preferences.
Our individual counseling services are tailored to each young person’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. Whether they're managing anxiety, depression, trauma, or just figuring out who they are, we're here to help them feel more grounded and empowered.
Individual Counseling for Adults
Many adults come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or stuck. In our work together the hope is to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.
We support adults navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic illness, and the emotional toll of caregiving.
Our approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Therapy is a great space to be honest, curious, and supported without judgment.
We will work together to help clarify your goals, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and build the tools you need to move forward with greater clarity.
